Garage door panel replacement in Alameda
A dented bottom panel doesn't always mean a new door. If the model is still in production, replacing the damaged section costs a fraction of a full replacement.
From $260 typical range $260 to $800
Call (510) 694-8090When a single panel works
It works when the door is a current or recent model, the other sections are sound, and the finish can be matched. We find the make on the plate inside the door and check the section is still available before we quote.
When a new door is the better buy
If the door is old enough that the section is discontinued, if several panels are damaged, or if the impact twisted the track and hinges as well as the skin, a new door is usually the better spend. We'd rather say that than sell you a panel and leave you with a mismatched door.
Matching the finish
An older door has faded. A brand-new section in the same nominal color can still read as obviously new. On a street-facing door we'll tell you how close the match will really be before you decide.

Questions we get asked
- Can you match my existing door?
- Often, if the model is still in production. We check the manufacturer plate first and tell you what we find before you commit.
- What does a panel cost?
- From $260 per section installed, depending on the make and the finish.
- Is a dented panel worth fixing at all?
- If it's cosmetic and the door runs properly, that's your call and there's no rush. If the dent has bent the section enough to bind in the track, it needs doing.
